Sony Officially announced its new Smartphone named Sony Xperia Z. Sony Mobile Communications introduced this Smartphone on January 7th 2013, in The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 which is held in Las Vegas, USA.
This Sony Xperia Z is powered with 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and 2GB of Ram with fast performance. This device comes with 5-inches HD screen of whopping 1920×1080 pixels resolution and with 441 ppi pixel density. So this Display offers High Quality Images and Videos same as your TV. This display comes with Light & Proximity sensor and with Scratch-resistant glass.
This device comes with a 13.1-megapixel camera and a 2.2 MP front camera with LED flash. This Sony Xperia Z is using Sony’s Exmor RS image sensor, which provides richer colour in low light situations. This Device also introduces HDR (High Dynamic Range) for images to capture clear images against strong backlight and also for videos so that you can able to shoot a film from the front of a window or with the sun behind.
Sony Xperia Z comes with 16 GB of built-in memory storage and you can expandable with Micro SD slot upto 32 GB Memory. This device packs with 2330 mAh battery upto 530 hours of a standby time, 11 hours of 3G talk time and 14 hours of 2G talk time. This device comes with an extra feature called Battery STAMINA Mode which can improve the standby time by four or more hours by shutting down the battery draining apps whenever the screen is off and again starts up them when the screen is on.
Here is an another awesome feature of this device is water and dust resistant with durable glass display and anti-shatter film on the front & back. All ports and covers of the device are firmly closed to protect against low pressure jets of water from all directions and you can keep the device upto under 1 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
The weight of this device is 146 grams. This device supports Ultra-fast LTE/4G technology which is 10 times faster than 3G internet connection. This also comes with an HD Voice which clears the background noise to improve voice clarity, so that you can clearly be heard without raising your voice.
Sony Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and will be upgraded to 4.2 shortly after the launch. Now you can discover, share and enjoy entertainment with Sony’s media applications and with One-touch functions. Sony media applications offer an entertainment experience across Sony devices with pre-loaded the “WALKMAN”, Album and Movies apps.
The “WALKMAN” application provides access to a Music library of 18 million songs to explore from Music Unlimited and the Movies application gives access to over 100,000 movies and TV series from Video Unlimited.
The album application enables easy access to Facebook friends and photos by location. You can download over 700,000 Games, & Applications, you can browse over 500 free magazines from various publishers and many more from Google Play Store.
Sony Xperia Z is available in a variety of three colors like White, Black and Purple. The Expected price of Sony Xperia Z is approx 650$ (Rs. 35000). This Sony Xperia Z will be available in the market from the First Quarter of 2013.
